Remote Desktop Settings

In order to download files to a folder on your desktop, the following changes will need to be made to your Remote Desktop Connection. These changes will allow you to download files from and upload files to the Polaris training database (the changes will also apply when Acquisitions goes live at your library).

Open Remote Desktop
-> Click ‘options’ button
-> Local resources tab
Make sure that Printers and Clipboard are both checked.
-> Click the ‘more’ button
Make sure that the following check boxes are checked.
-> Drives
-> Supported Plug and Play devices
-> Click OK
-> Go back to the General tab / Connection settings
-> Click save and connect to the Remote Desktop.
