Dr. Mark Stanfill graduated from Red Oak High School and earned his bachelor’s and doctor of veterinary medicine degrees from Texas A&M University. After opening his practice in Ovilla in 1999, he and his wife settled in Red Oak where they have raised their two children. Dr. Stanfill has been involved in the community by serving in Boy Scouts, youth sports coaching, church activities and mission work, ROISD Education Foundation, and most recently, completed 14 years as a Red Oak ISD trustee until being elected Mayor of Red Oak.

The Red Oak City Council is here to serve YOU. The City of Red Oak is a Home Rule city subject to the State of Texas laws, rules and regulations. The City Council is elected at-large representing all residents within the City limits. The council members, including the mayor, serve staggered three-year terms. The mayor pro tem is selected by the council members each year no later than the month of July.
