Ad Hoc Committee
The Mayor establishes and appoints members to Ad Hoc Committees. The current Ad Hoc Committees include:
- Library: provides policy guidance and assistance in establishing the new Red Oak Public Library.
- Keep Red Oak Beautiful (KROB): spearheads community beautification projects involving cleanup and landscaping areas throughout the City. KROB follows the guidelines established by Keep Texas Beautiful.
- Facilities: reviews and recommends on design, construction method and schedules for proposed municipal facilities, such as the new Fire and Police Emergency Services Facility and the Municipal Center.
- Marketing: reviews and recommends conceptual plans from residential and commercial developers who are interested in investing in the Red Oak community, advises on marketing strategies and assists in the design of marketing and promotional materials for the City of Red Oak, IDC and EDC.
- Police Liaison Committee: provides linkage between the Red Oak Police Department and the Red Oak community in program and communication areas.
