Reading and Understanding Your Utility Bill
Your water/utility bill is mailed on the last business day or the first business day of the month in which it is due. Please see the sample bill and information below to understand how the bills are read.

“A” - shows account number
“B” - indicates the current charges for the service types
“C” - the “TOTAL” charges for the current month due
“D” - “DUE NOW” is the amount due if payment is made on or before the 15th of the month
“E” - “PAY THIS” is the amount due after penalties/late charges are applied. “AFTER” indicates the date penalty will be applied.
“F” - Shows the previous balance
“G” - Shows the last payment received
Please put your account number on your check or money order to insure proper credit. When paying online through your bank, the payment is treated just as if you were writing a check. The bank takes your information and then issues and mails a check to us in the amount you requested. Some payments may take up to 10 days for us to receive. Please contact your banking facility regarding their payment procedures. Credit card payments can now be made in our office or online at our web store. Go to www.redoaktx.org to make online payments. A 4% convenience fee is added to the amount due to cover the costs of fees charged to us by banks.
Please note that any payments received after 3:00 p.m. will be posted on the following business day. All balances not paid by the 15th of each month will receive a “pink” delinquent notice. Should you have any questions regarding your bill, please contact our office as soon as you receive it to allow us more time to research the inquiry. The sooner we have the question, the sooner you are contacted with the answer.
