    PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM

    PHYSICAL FITNESS

Recognizing the value of physical fitness, Red Oak Fire Rescue is implementing a physical fitness program. The program includes a daily workout procedure for all personnel while on duty

    DAILY WORKOUT PROCEDURES

Each individual should be responsible for participating in the work out program while on shift. It is reasonable to expect that from time to time due to minor colds and the like, parts of the program could be waived for a shift. There should be some participation by everyone.

Station officers will be responsible for the scheduling of time for program participation. One hour per shift should be blocked out for workout time. In the event of run interference, the work out will be continued upon return except in cases of extended call.

Stations will not in any case take themselves out of service during the work out. There will be times when calls come in during work out. It will be acceptable in these cases to respond to these calls as you are as long as the appropriate gear for working out.

All attempts should be made to be as presentable as possible during these times. All personnel should be back in uniform as soon as possible after work out time.
