    2006 - 07 Projects

    • Red Oak Corners Retail Center is complete just east of Brookshire’s on Ovilla Road. This development has approximately 12,000 square feet of retail lease space.
    • Realignment of Houston School Road with Methodist Street is complete. TxDOT has completed their installation of a traffic signal at this intersection.
    • Completion of the new restroom facility at the Old Town Park.
    • Jack Minyard has begun construction of a mixed use project on Hwy 342.  This development will consist of 4 separate buildings with retail lease space available on the lower level and loft apartments available on the upper level.  The development will have 11,340 square feet of retail lease space.
    • Main Street was repaved, replacing the asphalt with concrete, from Hwy 342 to the railroad tracks.
    • Construction is complete on a retail/office building at the corner of Ovilla Road & Austin Blvd. in the Red Oak Industrial Park.
    • Phase one of Red Oak Depot One complex on Ovilla Road at the corner of Methodist Street is complete and phase two of the project is underway.
    • Armstrong/Guerro building located on the west side of I-35 is complete with lease space for commercial, office and retail facilities.
    • Patriot Plaza is complete at the corner of I-35 & Ovilla Road. This development includes two 4,000 square foot buildings with four suites in each for office and small retail.
    • Main Street Plaza, a development constructed by Blackstone Developers, is located on the southwest corner of Hwy 342 at Main Street. Phase one is complete with 45,000 square feet of retail, office and commercial space.
    • Steel Dust Plaza has completed phase two of development on the southwest corner of Ovilla Road & Methodist Street. This phase added an additional 3,000 square feet of retail and office space.
    • Wal-Mart to begin construction on the northeast corner of I-35 & Ovilla Road in the 3RJ Business Park.
    • Starbucks has completed their new facility on the northwest corner of I-35 & Ovilla Road in the 3RJ Business Park.
    • Red Oak Town Village has completed construction of phase one of their 312 unit luxury apartment complex on the southeast corner of I35 & Ovilla Road.  Phase one has 192 units of 1, 2, & 3 bedroom apartment homes ready for lease.
    • Red Oak Plaza has completed construction of approximately 9,000 square feet of retail space at the Southwest corner of I-35 & Ovilla Road.
    • An expansion of Red Oak Health & Rehabilitation is complete.

    New Business

    • Jefferson Bank, Baylor Healthcare Imaging Center, Red Oak Chiropractic & Therapy and Definitive Rehab & Pain Management in Red Oak Depot One.
    • Acapulco’s and Ellis County Music in Red Oak Plaza.
    • Armstrong Guerrero Insurance, Casey’s Frozen Custard, Holly Nails & Spa, and Plato Loco Restaurant in the Armstrong Guerrero Strip Center.
    • Salmon Creek Grill & Bar, Kids U, Donut House, Realty World, Today’s Hair Salon, EV Nails, Candle Heaven, Dance Expressions, Snap Fitness, Heather’s, House of Larive and Unique Party Supplies in Main Street Plaza.
    • Natural Nails, Radiant Rayz Tanning Salon, Kinney Studios, School Daze Uniforms and Gourmet Grind Coffee Shop in the Steel Dust Plaza Building.
    • Starbuck’s at I-35 and Ovilla Road next to Prosperity Bank.
