Pursuant to Section 551 of the Texas Government Code, notice is hereby given of a Special Meeting of the Red Oak City Council to be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at 7:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, at which time the following will be discussed and considered:

This is an Unofficial Tabulation of the Election results. Provisional ballots will be delivered to the Voter Registrar on Monday, May 12, 2008. The Voter Registrar has three days to review the provisional ballots and determine whether they will be accepted or rejected. The provisional ballots will be returned to the Early Voting Ballot Board, who will then meet to count or not count (depending on Voter Registrar’s disposition) the ballots. The presiding judge of the early voting ballot board shall make a new return sheet of the votes.

The Official Canvass of the election will be conducted Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in a Called Council meeting.

MEMORIAL DAY CLOSINGS

The City Municipal Offices and the Red Oak Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. City Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, at 8:00 a.m. and the Library will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m.
