NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
RED OAK CITY COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Red Oak City Council will be held on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 7:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, at which time the following will be discussed and considered to wit:

- CALL TO ORDER – The Mayor will call the meeting to order, declare quorum if present, and declare notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act.
- INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
- COUNCIL BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
- Consideration of approving an Ordinance adopting the official budget for the City of Red Oak, Texas for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2006 and ending September 30, 2007; and providing for the investment of funds.
- Consideration of approving an Ordinance adopting the tax rate of .64 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, and to increase tax revenues for 2006.
- Conduct a Public Hearing on the proposed annexation of approximately 3.0732 acres of land east of State Highway 342, north of Pierce Road and south of Ovilla Road and abutting the existing city limits of Red Oak on one side, as depicted in Exhibit A.
- Conduct a Public Hearing and consideration of approving an Ordinance adopting the “20-year any age” service retirement eligibility, effective January 1, 2007.
- Consideration of approving an Ordinance authorizing changes to the employee’s TMRS benefits including Updated Service Credits, 6% employee deposit rate, 2 to 1 City matching ratio and consumer price index increases to annuitants, effective January 1, 2007.
