MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING AND WORKSHOP
RED OAK CITY COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting and Workshop of the Red Oak City Council will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006, at 6:30 P.M., in the Ronald Reagan Room of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, at which time the following will be discussed and considered, to wit:

I. CALL TO ORDER – The Mayor will call the meeting to order, declare quorum if present, and declare notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act.
Mayor Little called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Members present were Mayor Todd Little, Mayor Pro Tem Gary Autrey, Councilmember Ben Goodwyn, Councilmember Eric Smith, Councilmember Scott Lindsey and Councilmember Casey Hargrove.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Councilmember Smith led the Council and citizens in the Pledge of Allegiance.
III. COUNCIL BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
A. Discussion with area developers on Highway 342 development.
Council discussed Highway 342 development with Developers Randy Shelly and Clyde Hargrove and staff.
B. Workshop and discussion on Vision 2020 revisions.
Council discussed IDC Business Park development, I-45 development, the use of brokers, re-development and re-investment zones, hardi-board or cementitious material use in re-investment zones, future land purchases for city center east of Highway 342 and future annexations. Council directed staff to update Vision 2020 with the eight goals listed on Attachment A.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Little adjourned the meeting at 9:20 P.M.
