MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
RED OAK CITY COUNCIL
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Red Oak City Council will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 6:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, at which time the following will be discussed and considered, to wit:

I. CALL TO ORDER – The Mayor will call the meeting to order, declare quorum if present, and declare notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act.
Mayor Little called the meeting to order at 6:10 P.M. Members present were: Mayor Todd B. Little, Mayor Pro Tem Gary Autrey, Councilmember Eric Smith, Councilmember Ben Goodwyn, Councilmember Scott Lindsey and Councilmember Casey Hargrove. A quorum was declared present and all notices posted.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Councilmember Goodwyn led the Council and Citizens in the Pledge of Allegiance.
III. COUNCIL BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
A. Discussion and consideration of approving proposals for mobile wireless internet services for the City of Red Oak Emergency Services.
Director of Economic Development Todd Fuller presented options to Council from Air Canopy and Wave Guide Wireless. Air Canopy Representatives showed Council a video on their services with another city and discussed options available as well as costs to the City. Zyterra and Wave Guide Wireless Representatives showed maps of their service areas and presented their options to Council. Councilmember Goodwyn made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Smith to approve the Wave Guide Wireless Option 2, for a three year service contract with renewal options, free service on the 2.4GHz, 4.9GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies for city facilities and mobile vehicles and a cost of $1500.00 per vehicle and $525 per building for receiver equipment. The motion was unanimous.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Little adjourned the meeting at 7:15 P.M.
