MINUTES OF PUBLIC MEETING/JOINT WORKSHOP
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION &
RED OAK CITY COUNCIL
I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Bryce called the meeting to order at 6:25 p.m. and declared a quorum was present and notices were legally posted pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. Members present were Mayor Ron Bryce, Mayor Pro Tem Ben Goodwyn, Councilmember Scott Lindsey and Councilmember Casey Hargrove. Councilmember Eric Smith and Councilmember Gary Autrey were not present.
City Manager Ken Pfeifer introduced Debra Drayovitch, City Attorney, and various Board members, including Planning & Zoning Vice-chair Heath Nichols, Alternate Dr. Tom Wilson, Parks Chair Johnny Pierson, and ZBOA Chair Tdon Comer.
II. INVOCATION & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Councilmember Scott Lindsey gave the Invocation and led the Council, P & Z Commission Members and Citizens in the Pledge of Allegiance.
III. NEW BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
A. Workshop and discussion of the proposed Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance and Future Land Use Plan Map for the City of Red Oak.
Economic Development Director Todd Fuller presented a power point presentation which gave an outline of the proposed changes to the current Unified Development Code (l989), which included a proposed Subdivision Ordinance book and a Zoning Ordinance book and a “user-friendly” Development Guide. The proposed Future Land Use Plan had 14 Planning Areas, expanded the area showing annexations and thoroughfare plan. Discussion item only. No action taken.
III ADJOURNMENT - The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
