MARCH 24, 2007 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
RED OAK CITY COUNCIL
SATURDAY, MARCH 24, 2007
I. CALL TO ORDER - The Mayor will call the meeting to order, declare a quorum if present, and declare notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act.
Mayor Bryce called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M., declared a quorum present and declared notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act. Members present were Mayor Ron Bryce, Mayor Pro Tem Ben Goodwyn, Councilmember Eric Smith, Councilmember Scott Lindsey, Councilmember Casey Hargrove and Councilmember Gary Autrey.
II. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Bryce gave the Invocation and led the Council and Citizens in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Council convened into Executive Session at 8:05 P.M.
III. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to Section §551.071 of the Texas Government Code, the City Council reserves the right to convene into Executive Session(s), from time to time as deemed necessary during the course of this meeting for any posted agenda item, to receive advice from its attorney on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Act or as otherwise permitted by law.
In addition, the City Council will convene in Executive Session under Section 551.074 (personnel matters) of the Act for the following:
To deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee.

• Deputy Chief of Police
• Councilmember Place 2
• Councilmember Place 4
Council reconvened into Open Session at 9:37 P.M.

IV. COUNCIL BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
Consideration of approving any action as a result of discussion in Executive Session.
Council took no action as a result of discussion in Executive Session.
V. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Bryce adjourned the meeting at 9:37 P.M.
