WITH THE CITY COUNCIL, PARKS BOARD, AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF RED OAK
THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2008, 7:00 P.M.

A Joint Workshop Session of the Red Oak City Council, Parks Board and Industrial Development Corporation was held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Reagan Room of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, with the following members present, to wit:

1. CALLED TO ORDER:
The workshop was called to order at 7:07 p.m.
2. WORKSHOP SESSION: Discussion regarding the May 10, 2008 Election, Proposition No. 1
City Manager Scott Albert presented the preliminary concept plan for a proposed multi-use park, pending the outcome of the May 10th Election. He explained the steps that would occur if the election passes. Also presented was the financial costs as well as who would be responsible for paying. Mr. Albert emphasized that the citizens will not see a tax increase. Parks & Recreation Director Michael Hopping presented his finding of research done on surrounding cities with park complexes.
3. ADJOURNMENT
Councilmember Goodwyn moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Councilmember Bell. All in favor, the motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
