    MINUTES

    NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

    RED OAK CITY COUNCIL

    THURSDAY, MAY 15, 2008, 7:00 P.M. 

     

     

    A Special Meeting of the Red Oak City Council was held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, with the following members present, to wit:

    City Council:
    Mayor, Alan Hugley    Councilmember Ben Goodwyn
    Councilmember Scott Lindsey

    Staff Present:  City Manager, Scott Albert; City Secretary, Cynthia Olguin

    1. CALL TO ORDER:
     Mayor Alan Hugley called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and declared a quorum present in accordance with Chapter 67.004 of the Election Code and that notice was legally posted. 

    2. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

    3. OFFICIAL CANVASS

    A. Consideration of approving a Resolution (08-08R) canvassing the results of the May 10, 2008 Special Election.

     The City Secretary presented the tally sheet and official tabulation to Mayor Hugley.  Councilmember Goodwyn made the motion seconded by Councilmember Lindsey to approve the official canvassing.  All in favor, the motion carried 2 – 0.

    4. ADJOURNMENT:

    Councilmember Goodwyn made the motion seconded by Councilmember Lindsey to approve the official canvassing.  All in favor, the motion carried 2 – 0.
