    LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD

    Wednesday, May 21, 2008

    Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Red Oak Public Library Advisory Board, will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 6:00 P.M. in the Library of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, at which time the following will be discussed and considered:

    I. CALL TO ORDER – The Board President will call the meeting to order, declare a quorum if present, and declare notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act.

    II. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM the Library Advisory Board Meeting held on April 3, 2008.

    III. CITIZEN’S COMMENTS

    IV. OPEN SESSION
     Old Business:
    A. Robert Shamel’s residency
    B. Outdoor Book Return
    C. Library Space
    D. 501 (c)(3)
    E. Open Meetings and Public Records Act certificates 
     New Business:
    A. Participation in Red Oak White and Blue Day on June 28, 2008 in the Old Park.
    B. New Family Story Time on 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. 
     
    V.  DIRECTOR’S REPORT-
    A. Critical issues facing library.
    B. Resource constraints or opportunities City Council should be aware of.
    C. Library’s goals/performance measures.
    D. City should focus on what the next 12 months.
    E. Critical issues facing City.
    F. Library five years from now.
