CALL TO ORDER - 7:00 p.m. - Chair Johnny Pearson, Sr. called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

- INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Wedsel Groom gave the invocation and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- NEW BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
- Consideration of approving the minutes of the May 1, 2007, Regular Parks Board Meeting.
Wedsel Groom gave the motion, Robin Stephenson seconded, all in favor.
- Discussion and consideration of Alternate, Max Schrank to be dismissed from the Parks and Recreation Board according to CHAPTER 96-PARKS AND RECREATION, SECTION 96.22 (h), ORDINANCE 91-07-29, SECTION 3.8. Wedsel Groom gave the motion, Ginny Lindsey seconded, all in favor.
- Discussion of item only - Trash Off - Board members are to be there between 5-5:30 a.m. Trash Off opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 11:00 a.m. Michael Hopping has purchased ear plugs, gloves and safety glasses.
- Discussion of implementing a Living Legacy Program. Board wants to look at a few more options and bring back to next meeting for discussion.

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD Comments, questions or presentations for non-agenda items from citizens, but no action may be taken by the Parks & Recreation Board. None present.

STAFF AND BOARD COMMENTS AND REPORTS Michael Hopping, Director of Parks & Recreation - Gave update that he has hired Jason White. Also reported that Deborah Brackin was no longer employed with the Parks and Recreation Department.
