CALL TO ORDER - 6:04 p.m. - Park Board Chair, Johnny Pearson, Sr. called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.

- INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Lauren Whatley gave the invocation. Michael Hopping led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
- NEW BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
- Workshop for the Halloween Carnival with the Tourism Department. Discussion started with the time that the carnival would be held and how long it would last, a decision was made it would be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Discussed games/activities that would be part of the event; Lollipop Tree, Bean Bag Toss, Sports Arcade, Decorating Pumpkins, Face Painting, Harry Potter Wands, Duck Pond Hula Hoop Toss and several others still in consideration. Discussions over candy and trinkets and how much to order, and what kind of prizes to give out was held. A decision was made to have a Costume Contest. The decision was made that we will be having another Special Meeting on Friday, September 21, 2007, to follow up on everything.
- CITIZENS TO BE HEARD - Comments, questions, or presentations for non-agenda items from citizens, but no action may be taken by the Parks and Recreation Board. No citizens present.
