RED OAK PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Regular Meeting of the Red Oak Planning & Zoning Commission will be held on Monday, January 7, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas, at which time the following will be discussed:

- CALL TO ORDER - The Chair will call the meeting to order, declare quorum if present, and declare notices legally posted pursuant to the Open Meetings Act.
- NEW BUSINESS – OPEN SESSION
- Consideration of approving the minutes of the Monday, December 3, 2007, Regular Meeting.
- Consideration of excusing the absence of Tom Wilson from the December 3, 2007, Regular Meeting of the Red Oak Planning & Zoning Commission.
- Conduct a Public Hearing (continued from Planning & Zoning Meeting on December 3, 2007) and consider approval of a Specific Use Permit for allowing Major Auto Repair in Commercial-1 (C-1) zoning for 401 N. Hwy. 342, being .2968 acres, McKinney & Williams Survey, A-751, City of Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas, located south of Ovilla Road and west of Hwy. 342, requested by Lazaro Vargas.
- Conduct a Public Hearing for consideration and possible action regarding a proposed amendment to the definition of “accessory building” under 14.1-2 of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Red Oak to include in the definition any subordinate or secondary structure that contains a lavatory and/or kitchen, but no sleeping quarters.
- Conduct a Public Hearing and consider approval of the renewal of a Specific Use Permit for a restaurant and private club, being approximately 1.360 acres in the J.E. Patton Survey, A-839, City of Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas, south of Red Oak Road and west of Interstate 35, requested by Charles Bertrand.
- Conduct a Public Hearing and consider approval of a Specific Use Permit to allow Temporary Outside Retail Sales for approximately 60 days for Metroplex Furniture Show, Inc., 509 S. IH35 Service Road, Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Hilltop Acres, City of Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas, located north of Ovilla Road and west of Interstate Hwy. 35, requested by Karl Berry.
