Texas Property Code

The City of Red Oak, Texas is currently holding property that is presumed abandoned or unclaimed subject to Title VI, Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code.

Unclaimed Property Valued at $100 or Less

Establishing Right to Receive Property

Any person possessing a legal or beneficial interest in the reported property may obtain additional information by contacting the Finance Department at 972-617-3638. In addition to the specified proof of ownership, a completed claim form will be necessary to establish the owner’s right to receive the property. Please print out and submit one of the three forms available to claim your funds.

  1. Only completed forms will be processed.
  2. Sign and date form.
  3. Submit copies of required documentation.

You will be contacted if questions arise while processing your claim by the Finance Department.

For the original owner of property: claim form for individuals (PDF).

For an officer/official claiming on behalf of a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, association, non-profit organization, government entity, or private organization: claim form for business owner (PDF).

For a parent/custodian claiming on behalf of a minor, or the guardian or trustee of the reported owner for the heir or executor/administrator of the deceased owner: claim form for heir, trustee or parent (PDF).
