Animal Control works to keep communities safe and free of animal-borne diseases, dangerous animals and protects the animals themselves from cruelty. The City of Red Oak employs a full-time Animal Control Officer, Amy Abernathy. Amy is committed to assisting the citizens of Red Oak with animal-related issues. Her 17 years of Animal Control and Animal Services experience is a major asset to the city and its citizens. The City of Red Oak adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 5.38 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $-40.57.
