Willie G. Franklin Jr.
Background
Willie is a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas, Texas where he graduated from W. W. Samuell High School. Willie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and a Master of Science in Community Development with a focus in Urban Planning from Prairie View A&M University. Willie’s career focus is State and Local Government where he has served in positions for the City of Dallas, Dallas Central Appraisal District, and Non-Profit Housing Sector.
Willie served as a Commissioner on the City of Red Oak’s Planning and Zoning Commission; and currently serves as a Deputy Voter Registrar, community organizer, and member of the NAACP.
Willie and his wife, Karen, settled in Red Oak in 2018 and are members of Concord Church of Dallas. With a serve first, lead second mentality, Willie is dedicated to serving on the frontline for all citizens of Red Oak.
