The library is open 6 days, 40 hours a week; Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Library MISSION Statement
To dynamically and efficiently improve the quality of life for Red Oak citizens by providing low-cost access to information and entertainment materials through both digital and analog mediums; to facilitate a love of learning in citizens of all ages, and to provide interactive programming and community outreach.
History of the library
The Red Oak Public Library was founded in September 2004 and is located within the Red Oak Government Center.
library Collection
The Library is housed in a space of 6,000 sq. ft. and contains a collection of approximately 11,000 items, including 800+ DVDs and 100+ Audio books.
The Red Oak Public Library offers access to various scholarly reference databases through the TexShare Consortium, and downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks through the Northeast Texas Libraries Digital Consortium on Libby.
Usage
Approximately 3,500 people have cards with the Red Oak Public Library. The population of Red Oak is over 10,000. The door count for the library is approximately 2,000 each month.
