High grass, weeds, and brush create a fire hazard and provide a harborage for rats, snakes, and other vermin. Any grass, weeds, or brush over 12 inches in height is in violation. This includes the entire lot front and back, the area between the property line and the center of any adjoining alley and all the way to the edge of the pavement of the street including ditches and easements. The city does not remove or require to be removed trees, shrubs, or other cultivated plants.
Allowing your yard to be overgrown with weeds and brush is prohibited under the Red Oak City Ordinances. Please report overgrown grass, weeds and brush by clicking here.
